Frequently asked questions

Good things to know while we onboard.

What is a Village Helper?+

An independent provider who offers compassionate, non medical support for families: newborn care, postpartum support, light housekeeping, sibling care, and a steady pair of hands on hard days.

Why are there no helpers listed yet?+

Every helper is interviewed, reference checked, and background screened before a profile goes live. We would rather show you no one than someone we have not met.

When will helpers be available in my area?+

We open one city at a time so each family has real coverage. Join the waitlist and we will write to you the week helpers go live near you.

What does it cost?+

Browsing and matching are free. Helpers set their own hourly or per visit rates, shown clearly on every profile, and payment is arranged directly with your helper.

Can I still get support in the meantime?+

Yes. Tell us what you need through the match questionnaire and we will personally look for a fit, including our Local Village partners.

How do I become a Village Helper?+

Apply through the helper application. We review your experience, certifications, and references, then walk you through onboarding before your profile is published.
